As events organiser for The Hoplite Association (UK group) I would like to express our thanks to all the groups and individuals who participated in this historic event and to made it the success that it was. Thanks also to the Marathon Town Council for their support and for their courage in staging the event this year and inviting us to join them in celebration in the coming years. Our special thanks though go to all the ordinary Greek citizens we met and spoke to during the event and our trip who gave us tremendous support, encouragement and thanks for coming to celebrate their history and culture. We look forward to doing so again in the future.

We found this video instructive and worthwhile and feel that it should be shown in schools internationally. With a little financial help from the Greek State it could enhance Greece's reputation worldwide in overcoming adversity against great odds Pruand Jim
